This is a combination i put together for a nuclear holocaust themed sleep video i did that mostly features the sound of a geiger counter, radio static, and wind. I tried to pull sounds together that gave a real post-apocalyptic ambience.

Was up late last night and needed to make a foley for a radio tuning for a movie project thats coming up. So i thought i try and make my own. I just took my alarm clock radio and played with the am tuner and got some pleasing results. In the beginning it tunes in into various stations while coming towards the end its very errie with static and a wobbly tone. Feel free to use this for your own project. Noises from an old gdr tube radio (1966, oberon) when tuning through mw, lw and ukw bands. I tried to separate the different noises and let them be heard for a few seconds so you can edit the noises you need. First there's lw, then mw then a few noises from buttons on the radio then ukw at the end with fragments of some german radio stations in 2021.

I thought i would do a recording of me listening to truckers on the cb radio while i was seeing if i would pick up anything. Surprisingly, i was able to receive something because sometimes i don't pick up anybody because barely nobody is on it. Sometimes you can understand what they say but sometimes not all the time. Made using the online remote shortwave receiver of university of twente in enschede holland:http://websdr. Ewi. Utwente. Nl:8901/made in the part of the 20-meter ham band where psk31 is the dominant digital mode, with the receiver deliberately mistuned, in fm mode at it's widest setting to get a mishmash heterodyning sound.

This sound was recorded in the winter of 2004, through a voice recorder connected to a conventional long wire as an antenna and an electromagnetic seeker.

My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. Feel free to use this sound however you may please, you don't even have to credit me. It would be appreciated if you did though!.

A neutral, static room tone - with some reverb og distortion. I have used it in the background for radio shows, when recorded in a studio that's too silent - but of course mixed down a lot so you can just barely hear it.

Hello this is a some radio chatter that i was working on it goes in and out the a cut at the end. You can use it you can use this sound in any of your projects but if you make over 1 million dollars off you aaa game / movie than you can share the wealth lol but i would like to know what you use it for that is it credit would be nice but not necessary.

Two sennheiser g3 transmitters were set for the same frequency; one of them was transmitting a previous interference recording from my macbook p2 phone output, the other one had no input;the receptor was connected to loudspeakers; the interference would vary as i moved each transmitter around. I recorded the loudpeakers output through the macbook built-in microphone, on audacity. This is a specially noisy part i exported. Not a pretty sound, but may be useful.

Heard are various stations working or trying to work w1uuu in massachusetts including stations in the dominican republic, argentina, the ukraine, trinidad and tobago, colombia and florida. Some stations are heard better in pa, some better in the uk. Lots of static crashes heard from late spring lightning storms hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from both receivers.
